The Jade Dress: When Elegance Meets an Unseen Power

The Jade Dress: When Elegance Meets an Unseen Power

The ballroom of the five-star hotel shimmered like a dream carved in gold. Crystal chandeliers floated overhead, casting liquid light across priceless paintings and guests dripping in diamonds. At the center of it all sat Victoria Sterling — elegant, composed, and seated in a custom jade-green satin gown that seemed to glow under the lights. Her wheelchair only added to her quiet, undeniable presence.

She was untouchable.

Until Chloe Harrington approached.

Draped in a tight black dress and fueled by years of envy, Chloe leaned over Victoria with a poisonous smile. Her champagne glass hovered like a weapon.

“What are you even doing here?” Chloe sneered loud enough for nearby guests to hear. “This event is for real collectors, not… charity cases in wheelchairs.”

A few people chuckled nervously. Chloe’s smile widened.

Then, with deliberate cruelty, she tilted her glass.

Golden champagne poured down onto Victoria’s exquisite jade dress, spreading like a dark stain across the silk.

Chloe laughed mockingly.

“Oh please. Who do you think you are? Calling security like you own the—”

She never finished the sentence.

The grand double doors of the ballroom swung open. A team of six sharply dressed security personnel entered, moving with purpose. But they didn’t head toward Victoria.

They walked straight to Chloe.

Before she could react, two officers gently but firmly took her arms.

“Miss Harrington,” one said calmly, “you are being removed from the premises.”

Chloe’s face twisted in confusion and panic.

“What?! This is ridiculous! Do you know who I am?!”

Victoria finally turned her head and looked at Chloe directly. Her voice remained soft, yet every word cut like ice:

“I know exactly who you are, Chloe. You’re the woman who just spilled champagne on the owner of this hotel… and the entire chain.”

The entire ballroom fell into stunned silence.

Chloe’s knees nearly buckled.

Victoria continued, her tone never rising:
