SHE CALLED SECURITY ON THE BAREFOOT GIRL

📄 SHE CALLED SECURITY ON THE BAREFOOT GIRL – PART 2 🤫

The lobby was no longer a place of luxury; it had become a courtroom, and Isabella was on trial in front of the very people she had spent years trying to impress. Her pulse hammered against her throat, a frantic, uneven rhythm that drowned out the hushed whispers of the onlookers.

Valentina stood in front of her, barefoot and shivering, her eyes wide with a mixture of terror and an ancient, aching hope. She was the mirror image of Isabella, but a version that had lived in the shadows—a version that carried the scars Isabella had spent a decade trying to bury.

"My daughter," Isabella whispered again, the words tasting like ash. She looked at the note again. The handwriting was unmistakable: her own mother’s, written in the frantic, final days before she had passed away. Valentina was never lost, the note continued, I kept her safe from the life you chose. If she stands before you now, it means I am finally gone.

Isabella’s gaze shifted to the security guards, who were already halfway to the girl. "Stop!" she shrieked, her voice cracking with a raw, primal desperation. The guards froze. "Nobody touch her! She… she is mine."

The crowd erupted into a chaotic murmur. Isabella ignored them. The woman who had just minutes ago screamed about protecting her "things" now dropped to her knees on the cold marble, heedless of the champagne-colored gown that was staining with the dust from Valentina’s shirt.
